GetResponse has added support for promo prices in product blocks that lets you show the original price alongside the sale price in emails.
The feature is available for Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Shoper, and custom API integrations.
You can use promo prices for price-drop alerts, targeted discounts, welcome offers, and loyalty rewards. For example, a VIP email could show a product at its regular price and a lower member price, making the discount visible before the reader clicks through.
The feature could also make automated price-drop messages more useful. Instead of telling a subscriber that a product is cheaper, you can show the previous and current prices together in the product block.
There are limits. The feature depends on your store or API integration supplying the required pricing data, and GetResponse lists support for specific ecommerce platforms rather than every storefront by default. You may also need to update your product-block setup before the promotional pricing appears as intended.
If you already use product blocks, you can add promo prices to your next newsletter by using GetResponse’s setup instructions for specific store integration.
