EmailOctopus says it has no plans to reduce or remove its free email marketing plan, even as other email platforms such as MailerLite and Mailchimp cut back their free plan limits.
In an open letter to customers, Chief Operating Officer Tom Evans said the company believes email marketing should remain accessible if you’re starting a business, testing an idea, running a fundraiser, or working on a side project.
While sending free emails and providing support costs money, EmailOctopus says it views its free plan as a long-term investment. The company expects that some free accounts will eventually upgrade to paid plans or recommend the service to others as their projects grow.
If you’ve been worried that EmailOctopus would follow competitors by reducing its free offering, this announcement should ease those concerns.
The free plan continues to include support for up to 2,500 subscribers, 10,000 emails per month, more than 100 email templates, personalization, automations, signup forms, integrations, and other core email marketing features.
