Beehiiv has announced one of its biggest platform updates, introducing Community, AI Copilot, podcast hosting improvements, programmatic newsletter ads, digital product sales, an AI website builder, expanded paid subscription tools, and more.
Community
The biggest announcement is Community, a new feature that lets you create a dedicated space where subscribers can interact with each other.
Previously, if you published a newsletter, your audience could read your content but had no way to connect with one another inside Beehiiv. Community adds discussion spaces similar to Facebook Groups, Slack, or Discord.
You can create free or paid communities, invite newsletter subscribers, organize conversations into channels, and let members react, reply, repost content, follow each other, and send direct messages.
Unlike traditional social media platforms, Beehiiv says you own your community, branding, and member data. There are no platform algorithms deciding who sees your posts.
AI Copilot
Beehiiv has also introduced Copilot, its new AI assistant.
Unlike general AI chatbots that start every conversation from scratch, Copilot already knows your newsletter, subscriber data, published content, and business performance.
You can ask questions about your publication, request insights, or tell the AI to perform tasks from the same conversation.
Podcast hosting improvements
You can now host, publish, distribute, and monetize podcasts directly inside Beehiiv instead of using a separate podcast hosting service.
When you publish an episode, Beehiiv automatically distributes it to major podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Overcast.
Beehiiv says video podcast support is coming in a future update.
Sell digital products
You can now sell digital products directly through Beehiiv, including guides, templates, webinars, coaching sessions, and other digital downloads.
Beehiiv does not charge platform fees on digital product sales.
Programmatic ads in newsletters
Beehiiv has expanded its advertising tools with Programmatic Ads.
Instead of finding sponsors, you can place an ad block inside your newsletter. Beehiiv automatically fills it with the highest-paying advertiser that best matches your audience. The experience is similar to how YouTube automatically inserts ads into videos.
Paid subscriptions
Beehiiv has also expanded its paid subscription tools. New features include:

- Free and paid trials
- Discount promotions
- Multiple subscription tiers
- Donations and gift subscriptions
