Adobe has added generative AI tools to the Marketo Engage Email Designer. You can generate subject lines and preheaders, rewrite sections of an email, create images, and build an entire email from an existing template.
The main change is that you can now use AI during the email design process instead of creating content separately and manually adding it to your campaign. Adobe also allows you to provide brand assets as reference material so the generated content can take those assets into account.
The update also brings AI image generation into the Email Designer. If an image in your email does not fit your campaign, you can select it and describe what you want. Marketo can then generate several alternatives.
Adobe says you can use Adobe Firefly or Gemini 2.5 Nano Banana to generate the images. You can also adjust settings such as content type, color, tone, lighting, and composition before generating them.
Access to the feature is not enabled by default. Your Adobe account team must first provide details about the Core Gen-AI terms and supplemental terms, and you must agree to the applicable terms before a Marketo administrator gives the relevant role access to the AI Assistant.
