Amazon SES Introduces Email Deliverability Monitoring Across Multiple Providers

AWS has introduced Global Deliverability for Amazon SES, which gives senders a way to monitor email delivery performance for other email providers.

Instead of limiting deliverability insights to emails sent through SES, it tracks email performance for monitored domains regardless of whether the messages were sent through Amazon SES or another email provider.

Global Deliverability introduces three key features;

  • Campaign Analytics: Provides inbox placement and engagement metrics for individual campaigns across providers. You can see where emails land, along with estimated open, read, and delete rates based on a representative sample of recipient mailboxes.
  • Inbox Placement Testing: Lets you test campaigns before sending them to your mailing list. It sends messages to seed accounts across providers, including Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, and Apple Mail, helping you identify spam or email authentication issues before launching your campaign.
  • Reputation Monitoring: Keeps track of your sending domains and dedicated IP addresses against major email blocklists, including Spamhaus, Barracuda, Invaluement, LashBack, and PSBL. If your domain or ip is listed, Amazon can notify you through Virtual Deliverability Manager Advisor.

The Global Deliverability features come as a bundled subscription priced at USD 1,250 per month. The plan includes monitoring for five domains, 12 dedicated IP addresses, and 25 inbox placement tests each month. Additional monitored domains cost USD 25 per month, while extra dedicated IP addresses cost USD 12.50 per month.

If you want to use Global Deliverability, you can enable it from the Virtual Deliverability Manager Settings page in the Amazon SES console.
