MailerLite Lowers Free Plan Limits, Gives Users Until August 13 to Upgrade

MailerLite has updated its free plan by reducing subscriber and email sending limits and adding more premium marketing features.

Premium features added to the free plan include access to:

  • Custom campaign templates
  • Custom landing page templates
  • Blog creation tools
  • Promotional pop-ups
  • HTML campaign editor

At the same time, limits introduced in the free plan include:

  • The maximum number of active subscribers has been reduced from 500 to 250
  • Monthly email sending limit reduced from 12,000 to 2,500
  • Account user seats increased from 1 to 2
  • Up to 3 automations
  • 3 forms
  • 1 landing page
  • 1 website
  • 1 digital product

These limits will apply to all existing Free accounts starting August 13, 2026.

If your account has more than 250 active subscribers, sends more than 2,500 emails per month, or uses more than three automations, you should prepare to upgrade before the changes take effect.

Users who exceed the new limits without upgrading will face account restrictions, including the inability to send campaigns, run automations, or import new subscribers until they reduce their usage or move to a paid plan. You can take advantage of the MailerLite discount available on MyEmailTools Discounts or consider comparisons.

MailerLite says the changes are intended to improve platform reliability, reduce abuse, and keep the Free plan sustainable.
