MailPoet Adds Email Tracking Opt-Out for CNIL Compliance

MailPoet has released version 5.34.1, introducing new features, including subscriber filters and recipient-tracking opt-outs, to help comply with France’s CNIL privacy requirements.

If you use WordPress to send newsletters with MailPoet, you can now exclude subscribers from a specific email campaign without removing them from your mailing list.

Another new major feature is allowing subscribers to opt out of email open and click tracking without unsubscribing from your email list. This feature is designed to help email marketers comply with France’s CNIL privacy rules.

Version 5.34.1 also includes two bug fixes. The first prevents the Premium plugin from updating before the free MailPoet plugin. Previously, if the Premium version updated first while the free plugin update was delayed, some Premium features could stop working until both versions matched.

The other is a fix to a bug where repeated bounce report requests are sent when your MailPoet API key is invalid.
